It was a good summer stay for us. It is a shared bathroom accommodation, as mentioned on the listing, but it appears they have renovated the house recently. We stayed on the bottom floor, room B, and the room has air-conditioning and an outdoor yard. Wifi is provided with decent coverage and speed. Thankfully the times we use the toilet does not clash with the other occupants, so it was not a disaster.

Very centrally located, but in Venice, that just means more walking around to the places 🙂 the location is safe though, so that's a plus.
There is a Majer nearby, that sells fantastic food and bakes, and the aroma greets us every time we walk down the alleyway.

It's a very small hostel. The location is good! But apart from that it's hard to find good things. The owner was nice but we weren't allowed to even talk normally in the kitchen. Every half an hour he came and asked us to be quiet. This is not a good hostel to socialise, not a good hostel to meet people. There are only two bathrooms and a line in the morning to get into the shower. Also, you can't store your bag or suitcases here, even if you wanna pay they say no.

Gino’s House is excellent value for money. The price is low for a great location in the city center, however, I have stayed in much better hostels. There were not lockers, nor a power outlet for every bed. The WiFi was very slow. At check-in, I was initially shown the wrong room and then had to explain that I booked the four person room multiple times before being moved. The bunk beds are small; I could not sit up straight in the bottom bunk.

It was terrible experience. Venice was rainy and I arrived late at night. People staying here didn't have manner at all. People partied, they were loud, they were just terribly messy as well. As soon as I got in this place, I got out here after like an hour, and I headed straight back to Venice Airport and left the city. It was the most terrible experience of all my hostel stays around Europe.

I have had a very pleasant stay here, being with the coronavirus situation and few tourists, they gave us a single room. The very kind owner, we arrived after 11 pm and he opened the hostel anyway. Recommended and more in this situation.

This property is only suitable for people who are in the city all day and only want to come to the hostel for sleep. There is only one shower and one toilet for all people and they are not separated.
Location and neighborhood are very cute and beautiful with nice restaurants around and no tourists!

Es un agradable lugar para hospedarse.
Es como una casa que fue reacondicionado para hacerlo hostel, es amplio y tiene muchas camas.
Tiene cocina y heladera y la gente es amable.
Evitar ir en verano, ya que solo tienen un ventilador chico por habitación y con la temperatura que hay es imposible dormir, tienen un aire en la cocina, pero lo apagan de noche.
No reciben tarjeta.

Le propriétaire n'a jamais répondu à mes mails où je lui dis qu'étant enceinte dans mon 1er trimestre je n'ai PAS LE DROIT de prendre l'avion en plus en contexte de pandémie on aurait dû s'attendre à de l'indulgence. Donc en plus d'avoir payé un avoir de 40 euros il m'a aussi pris la somme de 186 euros alors que je n'ai pas voyagé. Je ne lui avais même pas demandé d'annuler mais de reporter mon voyage pour août 2021. Aucune réponse ne m'a été faite, aucune contrepartie proposée, zéro geste commercial. Je suis furieuse. Il n'a même pas de numéro où on peut le joindre, juste une adresse mail à laquelle il ne répond jamais.
